The history of Konton Battle Monsters

The beginning of Konton Battle Monsters... It all started back in late 2006/early 2007 Wow It seems like it was only yesterday when this game was just a thought in my mind, It all started when me and the creator of KCVDS (Kaiba Corp Virtual Duel System.) were talking about how it would be nice if he was able to make money off of the duel system that he had created, Seeing it was under license he could not, So talking and rambling on about that we both mentioned something about how cool it would be to create our own game, our own duel system, and our own concept
so we could benefit off of it and also try and make it just as big as any other trading card game out there.

After some designing I can recall that the first concept I had was a game called "Showdown TCG" The basic card layout kind of had a very mideval sort of look to it, It was a start (These cards no longer exist.) Me and Seto Kaiba agreed that it needed work, and It wasn't a very nice looking card or appealing in that fact, It was very boring looking. Being the picky person that I am, I worked long and hard trying to develop the concept of what the card faces should look like, After days, and long hard hours, I came up with a very simple but slightly more appealing design which would be this.

Now to many of you this is not really considered "eye candy" for a card, but I was thrilled that I had finally gotten a base design finished. After this and seeing we both agreed it looked much better, I began designing many more different types of cards for the game. This time adding color, and some
designs to the actual card faces themselves.. Click here to see!

Now with basic images of the cards designed and what not.. It was time to actually start making up the gameplay of the game, To be honest.. The concept of the game, winning how it was played, and everything was designed and thought up in one night.. Now thats mostly the reason why it had a whole bunch of holes and lots of common elements with Pokemon and Yugioh TCG/CCG. After people's criticism I took it into consideration and closley examined the games rules and gameplay, I made KBM Its own, I wanted it to be like no other card games out there..

Now looking back at everything I went through to put this game together to make it what it is today and where it stands, I'm glad that it all happened the way it did, It became a great learning experience for myself, Although the game may not be 100% the way I want it at the moment, and It may not be big or released, I'm glad to say that I actually took the time to make this, to show the world that I can do something alone by myself. I know many hard times will come my way but for now I'm comfortable with it.
